What does this app do?

Its main function is create a detailed report of an alliance fleet that can be shared with alliance members and stored for later reference. In addition it provides statistics about all alliance fleets on the Leaderboard.

What is a fleet report?

Fleet reports contain all important information about a fleet incl. kills and losses, fleet members, fleet composition, enemy groups encountered, systems visited etc..

What is the difference between a fleet report and a battle report?

There are two main differences, which makes fleet reports often more interesting than battle reports:

Who can create a fleet report?

Every alliance member can create a fleet report. A special role is not required.

How do I create a fleet report?

First you need to log-in with your Slack account and click on "New". Then you can enter the basic parameters of the fleet, like start date, end date, the name of the FC and the type of the fleet.

Last, but not least you need to add the names of your fleet members. This is best done during form-up, so you can directly copy & paste the fleet members from the fleet chat window into the app.

However, it is also possible to create fleet reports postmortem. Just link the zKill of a representative fleet kill and the app will add all attackers from that kill as fleet members. That process can also be repeated for multiple kills to get a more reliable estimation of all fleet members.

Note that you can always add more fleet members or change any fleet parameter later as needed.

Finally, click on "Generate" to create the fleet report. Note that you should re-generate the fleet report when the fleet is over to make sure that the most recent kills are include.

How does the fleet report work?

A fleet report is created based on the information gathered from all kills and losses of a fleet. So to compile the report the app will automatically take all killmails and lossmails of all fleet members, which occurred between the given start and end date of that fleet.

Note that this will only work for killmails of alliance members and registered alts. Killmails from non-alliance members can be added on request by admins only.

How can I share a fleet report on Slack?

To share a fleet report on Slack just open the fleet report and copy & paste the URL from your browser into Slack. Slack will then automatically retrieve the basic fleet stats and show them on Slack.

How secure are fleet report?

The main functions of this app are available to alliance members only, which need to login with their Slack account to get access. Some party of the app, like advanced statistics require additional roles like FC, Command or Admin.

A fleet report itself has both a public and non-public part. So they can be shared and (partly) viewed on the public Internet, but the more sensitive information will be accessible to alliance members only.
